TRIS is the world's largest and most comprehensive
bibliographic resource on transportation information. TRIS contains
over a half million records of published and ongoing research on all
modes and disciplines in the field of transportation. TRIS is now available
as TRIS Online through the National Transportation Library's website.

The TRAN File contains bibliographic and location
information for magazine articles, conference papers, and other material
on transportation and law enforcement topics. Coverage in the online
file generally extends back through 1979 and for scholarly journals
generally back through 1976. Other articles on topics of current interest,
e.g., the third Chicago Airport or articles issued through the Transportation
Center or the Center for Public Safety (nee, The Traffic Institute),

TRANSPORT is a bibliographic database of transportation
research and economic information. TRANSPORT combines the following
databases: Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS) from
TRB includes 300,000 bibliographic citations, most with abstracts, of
research information on all surface transportation modes, air transport,
and highway safety. International Road Research Documentation (IRRD)
from OECD contains 200,000 abstracts on highway research provided by
OECD member countries. TRANSDOC from ECMT contains 37,000 abstracts
of transportation economics literature as well as bibliographic records
provided by the International Union of Railways (UIC). These records
are present in the database prior to 2000 only.
